Algrano is a browser-based app connecting coffee growers and coffee roasters in an online network of over 1000 users across more than 75 countries. The aim of the project was to improve the purchasing workflow of the app.
I conducted an audit of all the issues I could find regarding the UX of the app. I then condensed these issues down to 3 top pain points regarding the purchasing user journey which I could address in a bid to improve the overall user experience regarding purchasing.
There were issues with some of the UX writing that I worked through (‘calculate costs’ vs ‘get a quote’). There were too many steps in the user journey regarding purchasing which I simplified. Also, an indication that you had a item in the cart wasn’t present and deleting an item from your cart was difficult to achieve.
I decided to try and come up with some wireframes for a ‘selecting-a-coffee-and-adding-to-cart’ user journey, specifically on mobile. I also worked through some ideas for a new navigation and shopping cart popup.
